If you’re looking for a comprehensive PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein review, then you’ve come to the right website. Here at the Vegan Protein Powder Review, we systematically yet creatively review on some of the popular (and unpopular) vegan protein powders on the market. PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein is one of the more lesser known performance products, so we were especially found to give it a thorough review.
After a cursory glance at other reviews on Amazon and Vitacost, it’s evident that PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein is positively reviewed throughout the web. And for good reason.
As one of the few plant-based protein powders with over 4 grams of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), l-glutamine, and quality glucose energy (5 grams of sugar), PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein powder is a performance product that’s designed for optimal athletic recovery (but affordably priced for all walks of life).
Just a side note that this product does come ready-to-drink in 11 ounce cartons. There is slightly more sugar than single serving of PlantFusion Complete Protein powder (if you’re sensitive/conscious of that sort of thing). But it’s a convenient and delicious alternative to the powder).
Like all vegan protein powders reviews on this website, we go deep. PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein is no exception. Not only only do we analyze the ingredients and nutritional features of this product, but we’ll give you very subjective yet honest (and entertaining) review of how it tastes. We also cap it off with a value rating, which takes into consideration the price and quality of PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein compared to related vegan sport protein powder products.
Nutrition Review: What Are PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein Ingredients?
Soy, rice, and gluten-free, PlantFusion Complete Protein is USDA-certified organic powder that’s free of gluten, soy, preservatives, artificial colors or flavors, and GMOs. PlantFusion claims to use “open-book” food manufacturing processes, so there’s no mysterious ingredients involved.
One serving of PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein is a modest single scoop that will last 30 servings. Each scoop contains 21 grams of highly-concentrated, nutrient-dense protein comprised of: pea protein isolate, artichoke protein, organic sprouted amaranth protein powder and organic sprouted quinoa protein powder.
This rather interesting profile blend has no shortage of aminos. PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein has 4,675 mg of BCAAs and 9,185 mg of essential amino acids (EAAs), which is certainly on the high-end of vegan sport protein powders. It’s also equipped with 3,600 mg of l-glutamine, which is an amino acid produced in the muscles, and thus, aids in muscle recovery.
As for the obvious features of PlantFusion Complete protein powder, one scoop has just 120 calories. Aside from the 21 grams of protein, a single serving also contains 2 grams of fat and 4 grams of carbohydrates. The carbs come from fructose (sugars), so this is actually a good thing for post-workout nutrition. But if you’re on the ketogenic diet (and perhaps paleo diet,) this might not be the best vegan protein powder for you.
PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein also has a proprietary enzyme blend that contains bromelain and alpha galactosidase with other naturally occurring enzymes. This blend helps support digestion while aiding in recovery (as bromelain is used in reducing inflammation). And if you typically feel bloated or gassy after consuming protein powder (not uncommon with whey protein) PlantFusion has consciously designed Complete Plant Protein for individuals with sensitive stomachs so that they’re able to digest protein powder with ease.

Flavor Reviews: Does PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein Taste Good?
According to PlantFusion “When we started PlantFusion we had one goal in mind… We wanted to make a delicious milkshake out of plants.”
Long story short, they successfully accomplished that goal with PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein. And I am not the only one who agrees that this product is one of the best tasting on the market. Just take a look at some of the reviews of PlantFusion Complete Protein on Amazon.
Similar to other high-quality organic vegan protein powders, the blend of PlantFusion Complete Protein is very concentrated. In other words, the powder is like dust, making its blend-ability incredible. Whether you’re adding it to a smoothie or just almond, it smoothly blends with ease.
There are five total flavors in the family of PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein: Chocolate, Chocolate Raspberry, Cookies n’ Cream, Natural and Vanilla Bean. Unfortunately I’ve only had the opportunity to review the Chocolate and Vanilla Bean flavors. I hope to soon try the Natural and Cookies n’ Cream. But I have no interest in the Chocolate Raspberry. Sorry, just not my thing.
PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein Chocolate Review
With cocoa, natural chocolate flavor, and stevia the primary flavor agents in PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein Chocolate, I was expecting a basic, run-of-the-mill taste. Much to my surprise, it was a nice balance of sweet and savory with hints of dark, Dutch chocolate. It’s creamy and light on the tongue, with almost no sign of stevia.
PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein Chocolate actually one of the highest reviewed plant protein powders on the web (according to Amazon and Vitacost) with rave reviews across the board. I support this trend 100{6f6325e81006090c67b24799731aac0121cbc6cbed9a6704f5a30a9474cd8037}, as it’s one of the best high protein vegan powders I’ve reviewed on this website.
PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein Vanilla Bean Review
PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein Vanilla Bean has a very well balanced flavor profile that is semi-sweet, extremely smooth, and absolutely delicious. It’s almost hard to believe that it doesn’t contain dairy, because it is indeed vanilla milkshake made from plants.
Like the Chocolate flavor, PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein Vanilla Bean has no sign of stevia. All sweetness taste natural. The thing I love about this product is that it’s universally applicable in just about anything imaginable. I enjoy it in rich, creamy fats like avocado, real coconut milk, and peanut butter. It also pairs well with banana and berries, as well as just chia seeds and oatmeal.
Hands down, one of the top plant-based protein powders in terms of taste. Mostly attributed to natural sugar (and probably minimal amounts of stevia), it’s one of the most balanced and smooth products I’ve had. I look forward to trying Natural and Cookies n’ Cream flavors. But until then, PlantFusion gets a 5 out of 5 in the tasting review.

Price Review: How Much Does PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein Cost?
Because the price of PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein may fluctuate based on PlantFusion’s production of the product, market demands, and seller competition (especially if you buy the product on Amazon where there are various retailers who may offer differing prices), I am unable list a specific price here in the review. But what I can do is give you value rating of PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein with respect to the product’s quality, volume, and cost compared to other sport/performance, high protein vegan powders on the market.
In the grand scheme of vegan protein powders, PlantFusion Complete Plant Protein is about average on price spectrum. You can typically find a 2 pound tub priced around the $30 range. In some cases, you can find this product in the high $20 range (which is a great value), but in most cases, it’s priced in the low-to-mid $30 range.
Still, given the fact that you get 30 total servings (at 21 grams of protein per serving), it offers one the highest concentrations of protein in one tub. When compared to other performance sport vegan protein powders that cost upwards of $40 for less servings, PlantFusion complete Plant Protein is well priced and a great value. I highly recommend it.
