Hey there! Welcome to the official Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens review here on the Vegan Protein Powder Review. Having reviewed a number of Garden of Life protein powders with good results, I was looking forward to analyzing their “protein and greens” blend.
A couple months prior, I tested out Vega Protein and Greens, and that was mediocre, at best. So I hoped Garden of Life Protein and Greens would bring it to the table with a heady blend of organic veggie concentrates, amino-dense proteins, and delicious taste. Let’s get into the review.
Nutrition Review: What Are Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Ingredients?
In the nutrition review of Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens, the most notable aspect is the fantastic blend of proteins and greens used in the product. This raw vegan protein powder contains 100{6f6325e81006090c67b24799731aac0121cbc6cbed9a6704f5a30a9474cd8037} organic: sprouted brown rice protein, pea protein, spinach leaf, chia protein, alfalfa grass juice, broccoli stalk and flower, navy bean sprout, garbanzo bean sprout, carrot root, beetroot, and kale leaf.
On the side of aminos, Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens has about 3.6 grams of branched chain amino acids and (BCAAs) and just over 6 grams of essential amino acids (EAAs). This is a fairly strong amino acid profile given the product is not necessarily a performance blend.
Let it be known that the flavor blend does not contain mysterious “natural flavors,” but rather organic vanilla flavors and organic stevia leaf extract. True, organic flavoring is a rare thing in the world of protein powders, so I give Garden of Life big props for producing a Raw Protein and Greens supplement that’s totally legit.
This awesome protein and greens concoction is also infused with Garden of Life’s Raw Probiotic and Enzyme blend. In addition to overall gut health, this blend can further help with protein absorption and athletic recovery. There’s also “less than 1 gram of sugar” in every serving, making it a great keto vegan protein powder (that’s ketogenic diet friendly, for the layman).
While Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens seems like the health-minded option for general wellness, it’s a worthy plant-based protein powder that caters to sports performance and muscle recovery. It provides adequate doses of greens for those who don’t consume enough vegetables in their diet, as well as solid protein blend that provides a wide spectrum of aminos and 20 grams of protein per serving.

Flavor Review: Does Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Taste Good?
In order to properly review each flavor of Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens, I bought two single-serving packets of each flavor at the local health foods store. I base most of the flavor review by combining the product with unsweetened almond milk, and sometimes later in a neutral-tasting smoothie (i.e. spinach, avocado, coconut milk, etc).
Overall, Garden of Life’s series of raw vegan protein powders is on-point, both in terms of flavor and texture. During the taste review of Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens, I noticed the powder mixed exceptionally well with the almond milk. Unlike a lot of vegan protein powders, this blend didn’t clump up and mixed quite easily with a spoon. In turn, the texture profile was free of any grit, chalk, or paste.
I am wickedly-sensitive to sweetness, so coming into the flavor review I expected the stevia to be noticeable to mask the potentially-earthy protein and greens combination. When in fact I found each flavor to strike a nice balance in terms of sweet, savory, and smooth (with Vanilla and Chocolate applying stevia to perfection).
Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Chocolate Review
Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Chocolate is a nice combination of being mildly sweet and subtly earthy with delicious layers of dark chocolate and savory cacao. Reminiscent of a good Dutch chocolate flavor, my taste review of Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Chocolate was a pleasant experience that I would revisit time and time again. And unlike comparable products, the protein and greens was undetectable as the taste was very smooth and clean.
Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Vanilla Review
Second in the flavor review line-up was Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Vanilla. Although this one had somewhat of a funky aroma, the smell did not reflect the taste. Delicately infused with stevia, the sweetness was present but not overpowering. And although it was slightly more earthy than the Chocolate flavor, Raw Protein and Greens Vanilla was still pretty smooth and free of any chalky or gritty texture. Overall, it’s still mildly-sweet vegan protein powder that’s well suited for vanilla lovers.
Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Lightly Sweet Review
The last flavor in the series of reviews, Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Lightly Sweet, is now one of my top favorite vegan protein powders. Instead of stevia for sweetener, this flavor has 6 grams of organic cane sugar per serving (and the organic vanilla flavoring.) As a result, the level of sweetness was subtle, natural, and overall perfect. Combined with hints of almond, vanilla bean, and mildly-earthy undertones, Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Lightly Sweet is a winner worth buying in the future.
All in all, I was quite impressed with the flavors in Garden of Life’s series of Protein and Greens protein powders.

Price Review: How Much Does Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens Cost?
As a green superfood drink that offers the protein and amino acids suitable for post-workout recovery, you’d think Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens would be a costly supplement. But compared to similar protein powders on the market, it’s actually quite affordable.
However, because the price of Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens is subject to cost fluctuations (especially if you shop the product from various sellers on Amazon or other online retailers), I am unable to specify a price tag here in the article. I can, however, provide a value rating of how much this product costs versus comparable vegan protein powders.
Overall, the cost of Garden of Life Protein and Greens is closely aligned with of Vega Protein and Greens and similar products. The trick is determining its value given the relation to price and size of container. Smaller sizes usually cost slightly more. Or if you’re an Amazon Prime member or subscribe to the product, you can get special discounts. If you can find a 20+ oz container of Garden of Life Protein & Greens in the low $30 range, you’re getting a pretty fair price for the amount of quality protein you’re getting.
